Ford Goes Looking for the Sun

Ford Goes Looking for the Sun is the story about a curious boy who goes looking for the Sun. He wants to ask the Sun a question. Along the way, he meets the Sky, the Water, a Tree, a Fish, a Frog, and a Bear. Ford asks each one if they have seen the Sun today. The water, tree, fish, and frog have not, but each explain to Ford how important the Sun is to them, personally, and how the Sun is their friend. It is the Bear that points to the Sun coming out from behind a cloud. With the Sun’s permission, Ford can now ask his question.

Ford Goes Looking for the Sun is about how all life on Planet Earth is connected because we are all made of the same “stuff”. The final illustration in the book depicts this universal theme and visually creates a spectacular, surprise ending.
